Progeny - Purebred

Our purebred progeny are very precious here in New Zealand.

We currently only have 7 purebred, breeding mares that we can cross to Ballineen Blue Mountain, so every one that is born is a real blessing to the population of Irish Draughts in our Country.

We are so very fortunate that Ballineen Blue Mountain crosses so very well with our current purebred mares and he is producing really athletic, modern type draughts.

A couple of our early purebred colts have remained entire and are being used to breed Irish Sport Horses in the North Island, while a couple of our younger purebreds have embarked on their ridden careers, with much success.

Nothing gives me more pleasure than being out in the ring and being able to tell people that I'm riding a purebred Irish Draught.
